Primary Care

Medacs Healthcare works in partnership with Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and other agencies to help improve integrated community-based health services delivered at a local level, through improved access and better value services for patients.

Our vast experience in providing primary care services to both the Scheduled Care and Un-Scheduled Care sectors in a wide variety of social, economical and cultural environments makes Medacs Healthcare the ideal partner to work with.

Scheduled Care Services
Our national infrastructure provides highly effective support to in-house support services such as:
 Advanced Access, supporting GP practices in meeting 48 hour consultation targets
 Special Allocation Schemes, providing services to patients with special needs.
 Protected Learning Time session cover, allowing practices to close for an afternoon to allow for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) learning activities.
 Nurse-led Clinics, offering face to face triage incorporating Patient Group Directions (PGDs)

Unscheduled Care Services
The implementation of the GP contract together with the Carson Report has increased interest in out-of-hours Primary Care provision. Coupled with the drive to reduce the burden on local A&E Departments and reduce waiting times, Medacs Healthcare can provide innovative service solutions for:
 Out of Hours
 Walk in Centres
 Minor Injury Units
