How We Work
Unlike most other recruitment agencies, all the Medacs Doctors divisions operate with individual Client and Candidate teams so that they can maximise the benefit of their knowledge and expertise. This enables us to work with the optimum level of efficiency, providing both Clients and Candidates the support they require, whilst being able to drive down overall response times.
Each Client is appointed a dedicated Account Team accessed through a single point of contact. This team is responsible for ensuring that individual requirements are correctly established and operational procedures are strictly adhered to. Regular review meetings are undertaken and management information is provided to ensure that our performance is effectively monitored.
Our unique UK based ‘Out of Hours’ team provide coverage outside of normal working hours to help us deliver a 24 hour, 365 days per year service.

We have achieved our reputation and status based on delivering exceptional customer service. For this very reason we naturally attract high quality candidates who then become very loyal to us. In fact over 65% of the doctors registered with Medacs Doctors did so after being recommended to us by a fellow doctor.
However, we also undertake a comprehensive candidate attraction programme in order to ensure that we are able to supply not only the right calibre of doctor, but also the grades and specialities that are in demand.

Quality Procedures
It is essential that our clients have full confidence in the quality and integrity of both locum and permanent staff. As such, our procedures are designed to provide a risk free environment to our clients, our doctors and their patients alike.
Our registration process involves a rigorous scrutiny of each doctor, ensuring only the most qualified and competent doctors are registered. Our procedures have been developed to incorporate the guidelines laid down in the NHS Executive’s Code of Practice in the Appointment and Employment of HCHS Locum Doctors.
We also operate a structured complaints procedure should any of our Clients identify an incident that requires investigation.
Innovation
Medacs are committed to investment in our IT systems, this guarantees that we remain at the forefront of technology and steadfastly deliver an increasingly efficient yet simplistic service. Our unique database, FrostNet, is the most sophisticated system of its kind. Doctors details are maintained within a database and they are automatically matched to suitable positions as soon as they are submitted, based on a range of set criteria. This enables Medacs to instantly inform you of suitable doctors availability.
At Medacs Doctors we understand the importance of maintaining continuity of patient care and our unique IT system maintains a bank of doctors who have worked at your Trust previously. The unique way in which Medacs Doctors’ systems operate, ensures that priority is always given to this extensive bank of available doctors.

Medacs Doctors is proud to have been recently re-awarded Approved Supplier status on the new National Framework Agreement for Medical Locums. Having achieved approved status on all three contracts, we are fully committed to adhering to its’ principles and will be working with PaSA to ensure the Framework is fully complied with across the board and will continue to offer the highest quality candidates at the best value costing.
Management Information
In order to assist in planning, forecasting and budget management, Medacs has established comprehensive management information reporting. Through the integration of our bespoke operational database and our website, we have the capability to deliver real time client specific reports detailing locum usage, spend and fill rate reports. Individual reports can also be provided upon request.
